Started in 2004, the band, originaly called TIK, has performed in many places in Perak. The first member of the band, which is the original line up for The Abonation was Megat, Nicky and includes Ap, as the sessionist then. In December 2005 they moved to Kuala Lumpur to start a new journey there, and met with Sid and Iwan... making it 5 pieces band.. The sounds and rhythm of The Abonation, was created by every member of the band, with differences and variety of music influences, which were then, build and crafted in a harmonious tunes. The Abonation, were started as a street band, has played in many kinds of events and various venues in Kuala Lumpur, includes hotels, cultural center, exhibitions, schools and now, were still playing on the streets, as some kind of exercise... As for now, The Abonation were still experimenting their sounds of the fusion music, fusing the nusantara beats and rhythm, bringing it up to a new level, experimenting with the magic of music.

ETHNIC FUSION (New Age)

Before the dawn of the 20th century, a western movement--loosely referred to as NewAge--emerged with the idea that modern civilization was entering an age of intellectual and spiritual enlightenment. Based somewhat on eastern philosophies and a sense of optimism, its cultural impact has been slim yet steady. In 1967 the musical Hair introduced many to "the dawning of the age of Aquarius," and suddenly the concept of positivity, mysticism, and idealism seemed more palatable. New Age music emerged a bit later in the wake of groundbreaking works such as Mike Oldfield's Tubular Bells and
Brian Eno's Ambient 1: Music for Airports. New Age is a broad term, but its aesthetic consists mainly of gentle arrangements that blend into soothing ambient textures. MUSIC OF POLYNESIA:

Polynesia is a group of island chains spread across much of the Pacific Ocean, and
includes many countries and territories. Internationally, Polynesian music is mostly
associated with twinkling guitars and grass skirts, Hawaiian hula and other tourist-
friendly forms of music. While these elements are justifiably a part of Polynesian history
and culture, there is actually a wide variety of music made in the far-flung reaches of
Polynesia.
