LE DIKTAT is a bicephalous project held by Thomas P. and Benoit G. Since 2001, Le DIKTAT's music has been nourishing itself with various references to be found in the spheres of music, politics as well as urban visual arts. Deeply influenced by the Industrial, Hip Hop, Ambiant and Noise scenes, LE DIKTAT follows the footsteps of bands such as Scorn, Dalek, Techno animal, 2nd Gen, or Consolidated. After a much remarked first apperance on a Mexican compilation by RAID Music, in 2005 French label KUBERNOISE publishes LE DIKTATﾕs first album"2+2=5", including remixes by Cdrik -Axiome, Kirdec, etc- and Communication Zer so.

This critically acclaimed debut album finds its artistic and political origin in George Orwellﾕs masterpiece 1984 of which it is, somehow, a kind of musical variation. In concert, of course, the DIKTAT can express the full range of its musical possibilities: LE DIKTAT's hypnotising stage performances are a groovy mix of atmospheric soundscapes and thunderous rhythms that have led the duo to produce itself on accasion of various electronic music festivals in France and abroad. In 2006, LE DIKTAT was present on AUDIOTRAUMA's double cd Noxious art will never die !!! (with French band Punish Yourself) ; in the meantime, it started to work on a split album with Babylone chaos and Lambwool issued on OPN records in 2008. LE DIKTAT is now back with ﾔﾔUnabomberﾕﾕ, a second album inspired by the Luddite movement and the life of American terrorist Theodore Kaczinski.

Politically following the path that LE DIKTAT started with "2+2=5", from a musical viewpoint ﾔﾔUnabomberﾕﾕ conforms to the energic, ambiant athmosphere of its predecessor while venturing on the side of aggresive drum and bass, massive hip hop, and dark soundscapes .
