This extremely hard-working Moscow-based group started in 1997 and have so far released six albums, of which 2004's 'Three Fields' CD (Sketis Music) gained widespread attention and critical acclaim in many countries outside Russia. A song from it, 'Red Roze', also remains available on the 'Extreme Music from Russia' compilation CD released by William Bennett's Susan Lawly imprint likewise in 2004 and helped introduce Volga to the UK. In turn, last year, a 'Selected Works' CD was released by Germany's Lollipop Shop, plus a CD of remixes on Sketis Music by a diverse range of artists including COH, Idioritmik, Pink Twins and DJ Kolombo.

As it starts you can hear something with possibility. Sandie Trash is the vocalist in front of brilliant electroniker simply called X. She bounces back and forth between, kurt blasts of grrly sneers, sultry coos, and grating, shrieking vocals. There's a punk rock spirit to her urgent delivery and attitude, so when paired with their photos make me think this would be a great band to see live. Sandie Trash uses samples from some well known pop, punk and alternative bands spanning the decades (was that a Portishead guitarline? could be, each song has a line you'll recognize in an instant or plumb your brains for the name), which is where their sound gets interesting.

Crazy Girl aka Tiff McGinnis is a London based audio/ visual artist. She makes all her own music and videos to accompany. She is currently gearing up for her album/DVD - Southern Belle From Hell on Tummy Touch records, due out in Sept 2008. Originally from the deep south of Columbus, Georgia, USA Tiff's Bible belt up bringing, with fire and brimstone prophecies helped ignite her imagination. Tiff is self-taught with all mediums she works in.
Tiff has done guest vocals for many known acts like Groove Armada, Depth Charge, Maurice Fulton, Chicken Lips and Panico, to name a few; but she has branched out with her own unique sound which is a combination of garage, blues, psychedelic, and swamp rock.

Ahmed El Nar Zeb is a sonic terrorist born in Salerno, a small city in the south of Italy. He starts making noise in 1999, before with many hardcore and black metal bands and after with his solo project, using a guitar and many digital supports. His music is a sort of industrial-core with many social and political references, generated by the consciousness of living in a raped land and the perennial research of the most aggressive and extreme sound of all time.
